John Michelotti
Founder and Fun Guy at Catskill Fungi
Catskill Fungi is founded and cultivated by mycologist John Michelotti and friends. As former President of the Mid-Hudson Mycological Association (MHMA), John co-founded the Catskill Regional Mycoflora Project as well as the Gary Lincoff Memorial Scholarship. He serves as Medicinal Mushroom Committee Chair and is a Poison Control Consultant for the North American Mycological Association. He is an instructor for the Wild Mushroom Food Safety Certification courses in NY. He was chosen by the Catskill Center as a "Steward of the Catskills" for his contribution to the environment. He served on the Mushroom Advisory Panel for Certified Naturally Grown to develop ecological standards in mushroom production.
Charles Ellsworth
Charles Ellsworth is a New York City transplant originally from the White Mountains of Arizona. He cut his teeth breaking into the Salt Lake City music scene during early adulthood and brought his red-dirt rock to the Big Apple five years ago. When he’s not touring the lower 48, he’s living in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn; playing the local circuit and being engaged with his community.
Bryan Charles Wilson
Bryan Charles Wilson, a cellist, composer, educator, and author hailing from New Jersey, USA, is a versatile musician known for his soulful cello compositions. Blending drum beats and synthesizers into his evocative pieces, he specializes in improvisation across genres, seamlessly navigating classical, rock, hip-hop, and electro music landscapes. His musical journey showcases an impressive array of experiences and releases.
Amy Masters
Amy Masters is a painter and a printmaker. There are times when those two worlds require total separation and then there are times when they compliment one another.
Nature informs her work but is not always directly represented. Sometimes it is a memory or a moment related through color or line or both. Edges and color meet up against one another and that dynamic is the experience of both looking at the work and creating it.
Lubomir Smilenov
Lubomir Smilenov is a multi-instrumentalist living in New York City, with a Balkan / Indian / West African / classical / electronic fusion band called Amalgamy.He appears twice on the new album Steep Dreams, playing kaval (a Balkan shepherd's flute) on Human Rising, and kora (a West African string instrument) on Strong Tea.
Heidi Stonier
With over 40 years experience, Heidi’s work offers a holistic and cross-disciplinary approach to learning through the arts, scientific study, and community action. She uses her background in dance, theater, science, yoga and body-work to facilitate connection to ourselves, each other and the Earth. Through this integration, we can begin to change the current course of global environmental events and affect positive outcomes for humanity.
In 2020, Heidi moved with her family to the Catskill Mountains where they are creating an art & education center, Arts Inn Collective.
Barbara Mellon-Kolb
Barbara Mellon-Kolb is an accomplished artist, based in the Catskill Mountains, who has won awards for her imaginative mosaic creations.
Barbara Mellon-Kolb also has broad business experience and has managed to combine the two worlds, bringing to the arts arena the practical skills hard-won in financial control and analysis roles for the Alpine Board of Education, Town of Woodstock, Festival of the Voice, Arts Inn Collective, and Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild Ltd. She has also put these skills to work first as the sole proprietor of Mellon Music Management, managing the performance career of her husband, pianist Justin Kolb.
Claire Porter
Claire Porter, known for her comedic text-movement dances and her skilled teaching, has performed her work, Claire Porter / PORTABLES, in venues around the world. Porter has performed her piece, Fund Raiser, at special events and fundraisers including for the Woman’s Fund-Raising Coalition of America and her piece, Green Dress Circle, for openings including for Mikhail Baryshnikov’s Gala Opening of The Baryshnikov Arts Center and the Grand Opening of the Aronoff Center at the University of Cincinnati.
Alan Powell
Alan Powell is an electronic media artist whose fifty-year career has steadily pushed the boundaries of expressing information through visual art. From 1978 to the 1990s, he and partner Connie Coleman worked almost exclusively with video and electronic imaging. With moments in many genres, spanning a multitude mediums, from sculpture and painting to experimental videography, multichannel installations and audio compositions, Alan’s work ultimately coheres as an investigation into man’s relationship to his natural and political environments.
Alan lives and works in the Catskill Mountains in New York.
Lesley A. Powell
Lesley A. Powell brings together her unique career as a dancer, choreographer, world acclaimed Pilates instructor, movement educator and artist.
Lesley Powell’s Movements Afoot, 1993-2014, was founded with the philosophy of teaching people the basic concepts of movement theory: proper movement initiation, integrating breath with movement and spinal integrity, by equipping people with the necessary tools for a lifetime of fitness and wellness. Besides being a Pilates studio, Lesley incorporated the best education in the somatics field: Bartenieff Fundamentals, BodyMind Centering, Franklin Method, Feldenkrais and yoga. Lesley Powell has appeared in many articles about Mind Body Fitness including Elle, Newsday, the Village Voice, Shape Magazine, etc.
In New York City, she teaches classes and workshops online and in New York City at Space Pilates and Westside Dance Physical Therapy.
Jeff Schaer-Moses
Jeff Schaer-Moses is a photographer, photojournalist, and the creator of Dream City Postcards, a passion project induced by the Covid-19 pandemic. His work has been featured in Maxim Magazine, The Arizona Republic, The Phoenix New Times, The Rogue Valley Messenger, Entertainment Voice, and many other vertices.
Adam Ippolito and the Elderly Brothers
An incredible talent, pianist and vocalist Adam Ippolito's career has spanned over the decades He’s recorded and played with some of the most iconic names in music history and been featured on countless records while performing both on stage and screen. Adam Ippolito’s career has seen him record and play with music greats John Lennon, Kool and the Gang, Chuck Berry, Cissy & Whitney Houston, James Moody and many others. In addition, he’s played for the Joffrey Ballet and Broadway shows such as ‘Dancin’ and ‘Grease.
Margo Farrington
Margot Farrington is a poet, writer, and performer. Trained in theater—her earliest love—she has read and performed widely as poet and as storyteller, garnering praise both for her work and for dynamic readings and performances. Farrington is the author of four full - length collections, most recently “The Blue Canoe Of Longing” (Dos Madres Press, 2019). Other writing includes essays, interviews, and reviews of poetry and art.
